Moses' Leadership

Yesterday, I was reading about Moses when he was up on Mount Sinai talking with God. When God saw the sin of the Israelites, He was greatly displeased. Moses, however, intervened, and pleaded with God to remember His convenant with His people. Moses later asked that he be punished for his own people's sin. He was willing to be blotted out of God's book of life rather than have his people killed.
That says something about being a leader. Being a leader is not just thinking about yourself. It's thinking about others and serving them. As small group director for this year's VBS, I must lead by serving and by example.
